Clones
A clone is a genetically identical organism derived from a single parent cell. There are three types of clones. Ones originating from animals, GMOs, and embryonic stem cells. This chart shows the progression of the various types of clones.
Clones are thought to be effective in helping to cure serious diseases or disabilities with cell therapy, however, many cloning experiments are banned in the United States.
